Misr Cement (Minya) Company was established in 2006 and was previously known as Asec Minya Cement and Portland Minya Cement. The Misr Cement Minya plant is located to the north of Minya Governorate, just 230 km south of Cairo, making its central location easily accessible from the Eastern Desert Road as well as the Sheikh Fadl Beni Mazar Road. The plant has an annual production capacity of 2.2 million tons, equivalent to 6,000 tons of clinker per day.
